We are closing reservations on Wednesday, July 25, 2018. Check-in at the Registration Table on the Village Green for your square and chalk (4 pieces per participant). New this year - we are asking all participants to make a donation to The Crayon Initiative by either making a monetary donation or bringing in used crayons the day of the event or prior. See below on information on The Crayon Initiative.
We welcome all artists. Those 12 and under must be supervised by a parent/ guardian to participate.
We are asking all participants for a donation to The Crayon Initiative to reserve their square. You can support this organization by either making a monetary donation when you reserve your square, or bring in used crayons to Barbara's Bookstore before the event.
The Crayon Initiative recycles used and unwanted crayons to preserve our environment and enrich the lives of hospitalized children through art and imagination. For more information on this organization visit, https://thecrayoninitiative.org.
Artwork must be appropriate for public viewing: any nudes, advertising, business logos, or political statements will NOT be accepted. If you would like to advertise your business, please e-mail ckomer@trademarkproperty.com for Advertising & Sponsorship Costs. Burr Ridge Village Center will ask you to remove or change your artwork if it does not comply with the above.
Artwork will stay on the sidewalk until weather or regular wear removes the artwork.
Participants must stay within their assigned space to create their artwork, be it square, horizontal or vertical and move around without interfering with artist/space next to theirs. The whole space does not have to be used.
Due to these pre-set spaces and increase in participation, we cannot guarantee co-neighbor placement requests.
Burr Ridge Village Center reserves the right to limit the number of people working on any space, with exception of those who have registered for shared spaces.
